The Forge Glass blanks are made primarily of premium-grade S-Glass. This form of fiberglass is constructed with greater precision than the traditional E-glass used in fishing rods for decades. It enables us to engineer the Forge Glass blanks with the action and feel that anglers desire in a fiberglass rod, yet our blanks are significantly lighter and thinner in diameter than the old E-glass designs.
All Forge Glass models feature moderate (slow) actions, but we enhanced the performance by utilizing carbon fiber in the bottom 1/3 of the blanks to add some backbone where needed. The angler gets extra fish-fighting power and a solid feel – these blanks won’t bend noticeably under the handles like the old E-glass blanks. You can tip-cut these blanks to your desired action and butt-cut them to the optimal length.
The FG Series offers traditional fiberglass action and durability while using modern technology to make the blanks lighter and stronger. Build on these blanks for a wide range of saltwater and freshwater applications.
